Just 24 minutes from our Germantown apartments is a world-class performing and visual arts destination.

We are talking about the Music Center at Strathmore, and it features three venues over sixteen acres.

Several arts partners entertain audiences from beginning to end, and those not to be missed include:

Baltimore Symphony Orchestra

Established in 2016, the Baltimore Symphony is one of the world’s most important orchestras. Since its founding, this Grammy Award-winning orchestra has performed 89 world premieres, including commissioned works. The BSO is the country’s only orchestra with year-round venues in two metropolitan cities. Annual attendance is over 350,000, and the variety of performances offer something for everyone. Shows later this fall include the Mozart Piano Concerto No. 23 and Cirque Nutcracker

National Philharmonic

The National Philharmonic has been the Strathmore’s ensemble-in-residence since 2005. It has performed over 100 concerts and welcomed dozens of world-renowned guest artists. The Philharmonic is Montgomery County’s largest and most active locally-based ensemble. The repertoire ranges from the fifteenth century through the present day, and the musicians play everything from the cello to the English horn.

Washington Performing Arts

For over 50 years, Washington Performing Arts has connected to the community to artists through education and performance. It has grown to become of the country’s leading presenters. The company has won numerous awards and was presented with the National Medal of Arts in 2012. Washington Performing Arts offers everything from jazz to international genres, and its performances are not to be missed. The season runs from mid-October through early June.

The Music Center at Strathmore is just one of the cultural attractions near our Germantown apartments. If you’re searching for a place to call home, please contact us. We would love to arrange a private showing where you can see all we have to offer.
