Did you know that the world’s largest omelet was made with 145,000 eggs and weighed more than seven tons?
While the restaurants around our Germantown apartments don’t make them that big, they do offer an array of smaller omelets ranging from Denver to veggie.
Those not to be missed include:
Harvest Plates & Pints
With a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere Harvest Plates & Pints is the perfect place to start the day. Chef Tom takes inspiration from seasonal ingredients and makes the meals fresh to order. The restaurant is sleek and modern, and guests are invited to gather and celebrate. Try the tailor-made omelet with crispy bacon and a tall glass of orange juice. Harvest Plates & Pints is a 9-minute drive away.
For over 30 years, La Madeleine has celebrated the integrity of French cuisine. The chefs use fresh ingredients and recipes that have been passed down for generations. Guests can spend their time by the cozy fireplace, or enjoy a sunny day on the patio. Diners create their own omelets using any three fresh ingredients. They’re served with butter croissants and can be made with egg whites upon request. La Madeleine is a 12-minute drive from our apartments.
For over 25 years, the Silver Diner has offered a home away from home. It features a warm, friendly staff, and regulars are often known by name. Before opening the diner, the co-founders visited hundreds of diners from coast to coast to see what makes this American icon so special. The restaurant has won numerous awards, and the meals reflect today’s lifestyles. The sizeable menu includes Philly steak omelets. It features sliced ribeye, scallions, caramelized onions, jack cheddar, and American white cheese. Silver Diner is just a 21-minute drive from The Elms at Germantown.
